National Veterans Small Business Week

Join us as we celebrate veteran-owned small business in the first week of November, 2020. We’re bringing together great speakers, spotlighting some current veteran business owners, sharing some knowledge and we are giving away $500.00 mini-grants on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday through sponsorship from Union Bank. #vetbiz Come join us for one, two, three or all of the events listed in the week’s calendar of events below. We encourage attendance at all – increase your odds of winning a $1000.00 grant on Thursday, November 5th. You can attend any or all of the following events: Day 1: Empowering the Military Spouse Monday November 2nd 10:05am to 11:35am Keynote Speaker: Flossie Hall (https://flossiehall.com/about). Hear from current veteran business owners Learn about empowering the military spouse from VBOC program director, Steve Watts-Oelrich. Participate in some insightful polls and virtually network with fellow vet business owners. Mini-grant of $500.00 given to an existing business owner in attendance at the webinar. Points awarded to everyone who attends the webinar to increase odds of winning $1000.00 grant on Thursday. Day 2: Everything You Need to Know about Marketing Tuesday November 3rd, 12:05pm to 1:35pm Hear from current veteran business owners Learn about marketing from business coach and fellow veteran business owner, Cat Mason. Participate in some insightful polls and virtually network with fellow vet business owners. Mini-grant of $500.00 given to an existing business owner in attendance at the webinar Points awarded to everyone who attends the webinar to increase odds of winning $1000.00 grant on Thursday. Day 3: Effectively Leveraging Influence and Price Structure to Drive Revenue Wednesday November 4th, 2:35pm to 4:05pm Hear from current veteran business owners Learn about Increasing Revenue from accredited business coach and fellow veteran business owner, Shawn Palmer. Participate in some insightful polls and virtually network with fellow vet business owners. Mini-grant of $500.00 given to an existing business owner in attendance at the webinar Points awarded to everyone who attends the webinar to increase odds of winning $1000.00 grant on Thursday. Day 4: Financing your Veteran-owned Business Thursday November 5th, 5:05pm to 6:35pm Hear from current veteran business owners Keynote by Event Sponsor Union Bank Participate in polls, Q&A and networking activities Grant of $1000.00 awarded to an existing business owner in attendance at the webinar. Mini-Grant/Grant Award Eligibility and Rules Must be an existing, veteran-owned business in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon or Washington. Must be able to prove existing business upon award by showing w-9 and DD214. The owner must be present at the official start time of the day’s webinar and remain through the time of the random drawing. Each day’s attendee is awarded one chance to win per day. All attendees who do not win a mini-grant on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday are afforded one additional chance to win the $1000.00 grant on Thursday. A business can only win one cash prize in any amount.
