Small Business Informational Lunch: BizFed & SBA Informs

Join Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard for a Small Business Informational Lunch in partnership with the Los Angeles County Business Federation (BizFed) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

The SBA will provide an overview of the resources available to business owners including federal contracting programs and how to leverage the SBA Loan Program to access capital for businesses.

Biz Fed, Biz Fed Institute and the Los Angeles County Consumer and Business Affairs will provide informational presentations on the following:

1. Protect Your Worksite and Workforce: Immigration Enforcement Action

• Employers’ rights and responsibilities in case of a visit from ICE

2. Los Angeles County Contracting Connections.

• How to get preference in procuring contracts
• Benefits of registering as a Local Small Business Enterprise
• Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise and Social Enterprise programs

3. LA County Minimum Wage Implementation

• Wage Increase over the next four years
• Appropriate Record Keeping
• Employer’s Rights in case of a dispute

All presentations will provide an opportunity for a Q & A.
